About the Artist

Lianne Allen also known as 'Penny' is a freelance artist and Illustrator working with a wide variety of materials and techniques. She studied Art and Design and gained a BA honours in Stop Motion Animation and Puppet making.

After travelling and working abroad for 5 years, Lianne took a strong interest in watercolours experimenting with wildlife and her imagination. Now she is an established watercolour artist in the city of Edinburgh. Here she keeps the balance between city life and connecting with nature. In this capital she sells prints of her artwork at local arts markets, independent cafes, independent retail outlets and now she is joining other artists online to reach a wider audience.  

She also accepts commissions for all kinds of projects, such as logo design, pet portraits, murals, CD artwork, promotional material and personal requests.

Now after years of crafting her skills, Lianne manages to create stunning watercolour paintings that capture the beauty of nature and the wonders of travel. Explore her collection of vibrant, nature-themed artworks that will bring a touch of natural elegance to any space.

Ongoing projects

​Lianne is currently working on her first children's picture book which is themed around travel and dreams. She also continues to work on new content for markets and future exhibitions.
